Two way radios
Just wondering if anybody has any information on 2-way radios or cb systems. A group of us are planning a trip to the cruise in and are trying to find the best way to communicate between cars. I've seen some vette's with antenna's mounted on the back. Thanks in advance

talkabouts get you about 2000ft range. CB will do more than 5 miles depending on conditions, sometimes thousands of miles. The FRS radios are cheap and versatile if you plan on sticking together in cars. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...221413-9063066

Yep, FRS is the way to go. I recommend a headset without question. The microphone is optional though.
We use Cobra's with a headset to hear. Works out fine. Unless it's a VOX system you will have to use your hand to depress the mic talk button anyway, so we just use the radio itself to speak through.

I snagged a pair of AudioVox FRS radios off of Ubid.com a month or so ago for $18 (plus about $6 shipping). They work great! :seeya
