Subwoofer install completed
Below is a list of items installed while the interior was ripped out of the car.
B-Quiet insulation
Replaced front speakers with Polk Audio DB351
Replaced rear speakers with Polk Audio DB521
Installed GM PAL (Thanks Ray!)
Installed Rockford Fosgate 325.1 mono amp
Installed two Kenwood slim mount 10" subs - KFC-XW1000F
Replace console with '08 console
Disconnected center dash speaker
The car could have been back on the road a lot sooner, but I was not able to work on it full time.
The amp I used is marginal, but I do not listen to music at very high volumes. I am extremely pleased at how the system sounds.
I have really enjoyed working on this project.... made me kind of sad yesterday when everything was put back together.
Let me know if you have any problems with the link.

I am about to tackle a similar project and I also have a Kenwood 10" low profile sub but since I'm not knowledgeable enough to build my own sub box, I bought one similar to yours from Madvette (Dave).
There were two things I really had a problem with. First, it was difficult to determine the proper dimensions so that the top could be placed in the hatch and clear the enclosures. I built a hinged jig and placed it in the hatch. Then, I took the top and placed in in the hatch. The top pushed the hinged jig down. I then used the jig to determine the measurements for the enclosure.
The second thing I had a problem with was using Pam as a release agent for the cured fiberglass that was laid in the hatch. As you can see in one of the pictures, some of the fiberglass has blue masking tape stuck to it. I should have used something else as a release agent.
As long as everything in the hatch is properly covered with at least two layers of masking tape, you won't mess anything up. After getting everything cleaned up on my car, I can't see any areas where the fiberglass resin bled through.

After I finished everything and saw how much labor was involved, I wondered how much a professional would charge to build these enclosures.
