Just got this phone and want to use it in my '99 c5 in lieu of the CD changer in the rear but am not sure what interface cable to purchase after I disconnect the rear CD changer.
There are probably other options, but a GM10-Aux would give you RCA inputs to the changer wires, then use a cable that splits the headphone signal into RCA's and run it from front seat to rear tub. Some cars can be a bit touchy when recognizing the aftermarket unit instead of the changer, check out post #9 of the C5 audio FAQ thread for an easy way to get it recognized.
Have one myself and am looking at aftermarket head units to see about streaming audio from my EVO via bluetooth. Hope someone chimes in with more info!
My Kenwood Excelon KDC-X994 supports streaming from my EVO. I regularly use it to listen to Pandora via Bluetooth. I'm think of selling it if you're interested. Nothing wrong with it. I just want a double din so I won't have an adapter.

Hey! Thanks so much for the reply. I am actually leaning towards double dins as well. Looking at the Sony XAV 60 and 70BT. Love the fact that you can do Pandora...have done numerous searches and you are the first person that has finally confirmed this. How do you stream the pandora? Just start the app and connect your EVO via bluetooth to the unit or have you been playing it using a cable?
I just paired my phone to the unit, and it worked from there. No cable! :-) The one catch is that by default, BT devices only worked over front speakers. There is a setting in the receiver config to change to all speakers. One nice little feature is "next ->" button on the receiver would skip songs.
In reading on the new head units, from what I can tell all the Pandora enabled receivers only work with iPod because Android doesn't support controlling applications via USB cable. So at least for the time being, us Android users won't be able to use the PandoraLink type features on the new head units.
Okay...I contacted Pioneer, Sony, Kenwood, and Alpine and finally got the answer I needed to know.
A2DP is the profile use for audio streaming via Bluetooth with the EVO...so as long as the unit supports this profile you are good to go. Definitely make sure because one of the Kenwood units, for example, with embedded bluetooth doesn't support it...but the same unit that just doesn't have bluetooth and then add the external kenwood bluetooth adapter does...
Yep. I've found the same with regard to BT profiles and streaming. For example, the Kenwood ddx616 includes BT, but doesn't support audio streaming. Their ddx516 does NOT include BT, but the BT add on module you can get for does!? With my current receiver, I just got lucky. I wasn't aware of the different BT profiles. Audio vs. phone.
So far, I'm considering the ddx516 w/ BT add-on. I'm not interested in NAV, just need it to rock. :-)

I should have "quoted" and earlier post but did a cut/paste and yes just looking for the right wiring to connect at the rear where the changer is now then the right wiring to the EVO. Thanks.
