Clarion NX700
Local audio shop (does great work, have used in the past) said they would install the Clarion NX700 with Bose and Onstar. They will be replacing the oem 7 amp speakers with 50 amp speakers as well. They will also be including all the other hook ups, steering wheel controls,iphone/ipod etc. everything but the rear camera I asked.
They quoted me a price of $1,700 OTD. I know that I could do it myself but really want the pro's to do it. I know my luck and I would screw something up. What do you all think of this unit and the price? Thanks for your replys.

I think you can do better
Wait a few weeks and get the Pioneer Z130bt
I dont have pricing yet but my guess for the package of
z130
pac osc2bose
dash kit
antenna adapter
steering wheel control module
ipod cable
around 1199.99 as a guess but I am hoping for lower than this
the install is pretty simple
the head unit will be nice than the clarion
you can stream pandora and aha radio
what speakers was he looking at?
If not doing the speakers there is really only three wires in the car you have to tap into
dimmer wire
2 wires for steering wheel controls.
pretty simple and you will have 4-500 left in your pocket to buy me a beer with

Just my thoughts
oh and the model is last years clarion as well. The new series are much nicer.
No need wasting money on some speakers right now.
If going components you will really want to amp them anyways.
So start with the head unit and see what you think. If you want more then add some decent speakers and amps. You will gain a little better sound from the stock speakers with the new head unit. Not alot but will sound better.
