Rolling Horizontal Lines on Backup Camera
Hi,
I installed a "cheap" Audiovox backup camera from Worst Buy and after installing on my Kenwood DNS6140 it I am most unhappy with it because I get rolling horizontal lines in the picture. I say cheap because it cost about $100 and is available on the web for a lot less. Too bad I cannot return it because I lost the box and receipt.
I was thinking of replacing it but wanted to get some recommendations. I see a lot of the cheap ones are under $30 and the next step up goes from about $100 to $150.
Unless there is a fix for this issue?

I would suggest getting a Boyo camera. They have ones that are built into the plate frame as well as ones that mount to your existing frame. They are very well made and adjustable. When it comes to cameras, you get what you pay for!

You have the video equivalent of 'audio hum', aka hum-bars.
Check your grounds and there are isolators, same as there are for audio, that will eliminate the noise. For video, it's commonly referred to as a 'hum-bucker'.
