Default look for a new headunit

so, im looking for a new headunit, but cant seem to find anything that fits exactly what im looking for. maybe you guys can help. im not just looking for the newest models available, if theres something older that fits the bill, then im interested in it. i currently have a cda-9815 that i love, but it doesnt have usb support, and im getting really sick of burning cds. id like to just pick up a 64gb thumb drive and throw all my music on that.

Requirments

Single Din
6 channel
4+V Preamp
USB, and thumb drives actually work well with it.

Huge added bonuses
Time alignment
HPF/LPF
A good EQ.

ive found a ton of HUs that come close, but they all fail in one area or another. mainly ive seen 2v preamps and decent usb support, or 4v preamps with terrible usb support. i was looking at the alpine iDA-305S and CDA-117, but again, one of them is only 2v out, and the other offers rather poor usb support.

6 channel head unit?? You mean 4 amp outputs plus 2 preamp outs? Or do you just need it to run one rear speaker plus a front 2-way component system per side?

That makes sense.

To the OP - the upper echelon Kenwood headunits fulfill every one of your requirements and bonuses (I have the X994). The USB jack is on the rear though, not the faceplate, so I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for. I wired mine to have access through the glove compartment.

i just took a look at that 994. going over the user reviews on crutchfield, the HU wont support drives over 32gb, and i cent select random all, just random folder.

i hate to go back on my requirements, but that ida-x305s sure has my interest.
