After much research here, Im going aftermarket with the amp and speakers. After Im all hooked up and tapped in to everything can I just literally unplug the stock amp and pull it out?
Will I retain all normal functions such as chimes and such?
Chimes are generated by the radio. If you keep the stock radio, as long as you can hear music, then you should also hear all of the chimes, so oem amp can be removed.
No it doesn't. But why remove it anyway? It's a tiny little thing under the carpet that takes up no space. I'm not using mine either but I just left it there since the space it takes really isn't useful for anything else.
