An RCH less that 2.5 inches, the depth of JL C2 525s... I couldn't mount mine straight into the existing opening as the back of the speaker hit the inside of the opening leaving just enough of a gap. I fabricated a mounting plate out of Starboard. Had to be sure to cut holes for the mounting clips for the B pillars.
