High pitched sound from AMP
My amplifier is making a VERY high pitched sound. Has been for awhile. It's a Kicker ZX400 watt amp pushing an MTX Jackhammer 10" sub in a stealth box.
It is almost like a ringing in my ears pitch. It is grounded well, all lines seem to be connected properly.
Ideas??

Pull the RCA cables out and see if it still does it. If it doesn't then your picking up noise in the RCA cables. If there is still noise and it's grounded properly then the amp has problems internally. This is my unprofessional guess.

If the noise is coming from inside the amp itself it may become terminal. Many electronic components develop an internal hum/whine shortly before the smoke escapes. I'm not trying to scare you, that's just my experience. Of course, it could last forever
