Default Drilling behind the seats

Yes i know the gas tanks are there. Has anyone successfully mounted the amp there by drilling? I can drop the tanks and if i get a bolt through the hole with the head on the tank side i would think it would be ok.

Thoughts?

It's safer and much easier to just glue a board to the wall. Click here for details

thanks i did see that. My only concern is i am going to be doing a good amount of racing and i dont want any issues with it detatching from the body. I dont mind drilling just worried about the tank and if anyone has done it without contact issues.

Many have asked about drilling, but I don't think any have been brave enough to try it

There isn't much room there, and I have autocrossed my rear mounted board over 1.3g's and it has never thought about budging, I have one under the passenger seat and one in the small space in the middle above the rear cargo area. Both glued in, and autocross is more violent than road racing, now accidents are another story.

G'luck, but I wouldn't drill there myself unless you drop the tank and confirm real world clearances.
