New C6 setup questions

New C6 setup questions

Just finished install of my new system. It is Pioneer 4300 DVD HU, JL stealthbox sub, Focal 165KR fronts, Focal 130KRC rears, Kenwood XR5S amp. Will post pics tomorrow.

I did have some questions. For the amp I have the HPF to off and using the HU for xover and HPF. On the HU I have the front and rear speakers HPF set to 80Hz and the Subcutoff also set to 80Hz. Is this the right way to do this?

It all depends on what sounds good to you, but I'd try setting the sub around 150hz LP.

I moved the sub up and it does sound better. I wanted to make sure that I wasn't creating a sonic hole by having the filters overlapping each other. I am playing around with the EQ settings to see how I am going to like the sound. This is going to take some time to get settled into some good settings.

Sounds like a nice setup there. The Stealthbox must sound real good with 350w.
