I am looking for reasons why my ms-8 says that my input signal is Noisy. I have a set of RCAs spliced on to the low level outputs off of my factory head unit. The car is a 2008 Corvette Z06. The car is equipped with the factory nav. It also does not sound all that great with the processing on. Sounds better defeated. Any help would be great. Everything is running active. No rears or sides. If need be I could possibly move the mids and tweets to passive and free up two more channels to run rears. Still my ultimate problem right now is the signal is noisy. I am hooked to the low level outputs off the factory head. LF (neg)=dark green, LF tan(pos),RF(neg)light green, RF(pos) dark green. These are the line level inputs at the Bose amp in the floorboard. I have diconnected the amp and removed and soldered the connections. Thanks in advance.
Here is the set up:
2008 Z06
factory head
JBL ms-8
focal 3 ways (woofer and mid in the door and tweets in the pillers)
JBL coax in the center(factory location)
one Focal 13" sub(DVC)
1 Focal mono amp on the sub
1 Focal 4 channel on the mids and tweets
1 Focal 4 Channel on the 6.5's
Try running into the high level inputs on the MS-8. The voltage out of the stock head unit may be a tad " hot " for the MS-8, plus there is more isolation on the high level ins.

I did this yesterday. Now all i get wired this way is signal=none
Weird.... If I were you I would jump on the DIYMA forum and look up Andy Wehmeyer . He is the guy that pretty much designed the MS-8. Shoot him a email, I know he is pretty active with answering questions. There is also a few threads on the MS-8 there , maybe someone else has experienced similar problems to yours. Sorry , I couldn't be more helpful.
