I was going to mount my Alpine PDX 4.100 amp behind the passenger's seat but I have decided that I don't want to lose the legroom that would require.
Now my options are to modify (or rebuild) my Vettebin (I also have the partition) and mount the amp on the shelf behind the seats OR possibly on the back wall of the hatch area.
I am leaning toward the back area of the hatch but I'm not sure if my power cable is long enough (I can get a longer one if that's adviseable) and Where would be the nearest good place to ground the amp if I mount it there?
If I where to build a bin for the shelf to mount the amp in, should I leave the amp exposed, out in the open or possibly cover it with some sort of grill (for ventilation).
Any suggestions or photos of how you have mounted your amp(s)?
Thanks, Randy

I've only had this setup for about 2 months. When it starts getting hot around here - like in the 110º range - I'll let you know about overheating. If they do I'll drill some holes in the covers and see if that helps.
