Default 2011 USB adapter for MP3s

I'm getting a 2011 Grand Sport soon, and I'd like to put my music(now on my Mac in I tunes) onto a thumb drive to play through the stereo.
Anybody done this?
How can it be done?

From the 2011 owners manual Nav supplement:

The guidelines that must be met while using USB supported files and folders are:
. Up to 699 folders.
. Up to 8 folders in depth.
. Up to 65,535 files.
. Folder and file names up to 64 bytes.
. Files with an .mp3, .wma, or .m4a file extension.
. AAC files stored on an iPod.
. FAT16
. FAT32
Some files may restart at the beginning of the track after the vehicle has been turned off and then turned back on again.
itunes should let you save your music into a folder as MP3's, then just copy that folder onto a thumb drive. If you purchased songs thru itunes you can convert them to unprotected mp3 with other programs, then it will let you do anything you want to with them.
