Default New stereo installed - C4 - a few questions

Hello all,

Hey I have an all new stereo system installed in my 89 vette.
The car is pristine, everything works as new, except for the radio, which was the factory original bose.
The radio couldnt even hold an AM station, accept a tape and all that
sounded was hiss crackle pop... so time for a new setup.

I went to the nebraska furniture mart, here in omaha, and recieved pro service start to finish.
I got the jvc arsenal stereo/cd and infinity speakers.

They said all the speakers, or the door and rear ones were 4 "
and they needed new wiring, etc, so did that too.

The front speakers they said were better left untouched or their tech said people dont usually replace those, the ones on the dash.
Does anyone have any experience with this ?
So I left those in.

The door ones and rear ones are new, infinity.

Yeah so I picked the car up a few hours ago and it sounds fantastic.
What an improvemet.
First cd in was the beatles, number 1's... sounds great.

Total cost was about 550.00 thats the receiver, 4 speakers, rewire, and install, tax, etc.

Any thoughts out there about the front ones ?

They also said 4 " was the size for the rears, has anyone gone larger
and had them fit in the stock covers ?
Mine sound great and wont change, just wondering....

Hey, keep rockin all...
