Focal 165vs should be loud enough to hurt pretty bad at 75% volume. Though maybe th ePG amp is overrated? Are you not hearing them over the road noise, or are you looking to hear them with the top off?

You are right Kale , I think the PG is indeed underrated...
I just swapped in my 2x150 watt Jensen amp and even though the Jensen amp is not that great, it sounded better immediately.
Also, my 406ci engine is pretty rumbly,, so I just want the sound to be more clear without driving them pretty hard.
When I had my focals in my 86 they were pretty much at high levels the whole time. (100wx2) The combination of more power and sound deadening should make things a LOT better.
If you just want volume, I'd throw a pair of 6x9s on the back wall in boxes. The bass won't be great, but they add a ton of noise. It's going to mess up the sound quality and sound stage, but it wil be a lot louder.
I took my Jensen 150 x2 amp and connected it to the Focals and the sound improved noticeablly
Than I took my 2x75 Phoenix Gold amp and set it up bridged to run the two 8" subs at 1x250 watts bridged.
the subs have more punch and are more crisp and the over sound is much better than it was before.... I was beginning to hate the two 8's in the rear but with more power they do a great job.
Thanks for preventing form buying new stuff and helping me to set up the components I have better!
I wouldn't mind adding another amp and putting a set of speakers in my dash holes but I don't know what I would put there because they have to be thin/flat,,, or maybe just tweeters
I could use the door speakers for mid range only maybe
