How can you fix a ripped speaker cone ?

I dropped one of my Infinity 5.25 and the cone ripped :mad
It's a paper type cone, can I glue it some how ? Or is it junk ?

Use thin layers of fingernail polish. Worked for me on a 6x9

Wouldn't have thought of that. How did it sound after the repair, any distortion or negative sound quality?

Sounded exactly the same to me... And I have a pretty good ear for details.

Tube silicon also works well. There are places that recone speakers professionally. Usually music stores.

Dude, you're SOL. You may as well throw that sucker away and cut your losses now. By the time you spend the next couple of years listening for the stuff you smeared on your speaker to come loose you will experience a stroke.

Really, its not worth the trouble.
