I bought a amp crunch 4 way 900 watt a couple months finally go finally got around to installing. I hooked it up to my 10 ' subs worked for a couple day probably a total of 2 hours maybe of play. One day it didn't work. Blown fuses so I went Into the shop and asked for new fuses. The guy in the shop came out and tested it and told me my sub is blown. It was brand new working fine a week ago. I guess I'm trying to figure out if he's pulling my leg to get me to buy from his shop or my brand new amp just died on me. I'm a new to this stuff buy I just can't believe this!
You can check the subs with a voltmeter. Check ohms. Should read somewhere in the neighborhood of what it's rated at.
Fuses don't just blow for ***** and grins. You could have been running it way too hard, clipping the **** out of it, it could have an internal short, maybe the sub shorted... who knows?
Can't hurt to get a second opinion.
theres power to the amp. i wasnt pushing it as i was trying to break it in. im pretty sure they are wired parallel. im new at this so sorry if im slow.. ill try and check ohms and get a second opinion.
