Desperate: Non-bose "Thingee"

Okay guys, I have a '09 vert, in the middle of a complete audio upgrade leaving the LS2 standard 2-tier HU in place (tying into the HU with a ADD-GM24 then to 2 amps). WHAT IS THIS COMPONENT BOX THINGEE the to left of the fuse box (photo below) in the passenger foot well? It's not the Bose amp, but it looks ampish or might be part of the audio system, so what is it? Can I unhook it and put my amp(s) there or do I need to leave it? Would it mess with OnStar or chimes or Bluetooth? Do I need any patch or converters? HELP ME PLEASE, PM's would be greatly appreciated, thanks much

its factory amp... all C6's have an amp... pull it out. be warned of heat putting an aftermarket amp there, some have me i wouldnt

THANKS PENTA: So, okay, it's an amp for the HU(?), so I can unplug if I'm re-amping and rewiring everything from the ADD-GM24 (what about OnStar and Bluetooth, or the center channel?). I have these 2 Arc mini amps that might fit there and might put a fan or 2 around them, or put the eslewhere.

This is not covered at all in the 4 volume, zillion-page service manual by the way.

if adding aftermarket amp you can remove and will loose nothing
