Got my Stealthbox today and was looking at installing it. I cut out the carpet and padding. I put the stealthbox and it fits snug. Do I really need to drill the holes in the bottom of the well? It seems that with the cover brackets it would hold just fine and snug.
Also would it be a good idea to put a layer of dynamat on the well wall before putting the stealthbox in?
So did you drill the holes to install the stealthbox?
Re: Poll on how you installed your stealthbox (92TripleBlack)
Are you talking the holes through the bottom of the well? They said to use a layer of caulk in between the larger washer. I did this. Do you have any other recommendations to seal it up? What would you put on the screws? Caulk as well?
Thanks for the reply.
Kevin
You may want to put something to seal the holes on the screws so they don't leak. Has happened many times before.

You got it covered. Sometimes when you drill a hole in the bottom and put a screw in it it can still leak. The chalk should be sufficient to seal it. I used silicon sealant or buetle (windshield edge black sticky stuff) to seal holes.

I've got a coupla q's about this box too...
1. Where do you pickup a signal for the sub?
2. Do you need an amp to drive the sub?
3. What a good price for the JL sub & amp (is needed)
4. Any suggestions on amp selection (i.e. power output, mounting location)
I'm REALLY new to the whole "car audio" scene & could really use some advice.
