Bose + NAV XM antenna question
Noticing some weird sounds on my radio, only on FM. XM/AM/IPOD sounds fine. The FM has a distortion effect on it, almost like it's static but more like a DJ from the 80's scratching records.
Thanks.
FM antenna is on the rear wall in the trunk. You can pull the carpet down to get a look at everything to see if something came loose.
Click here for the antenna schematics. The 'antenna enable' signal should be +12vdc whenever the radio is on.

The problem appears to be my amplifier in the car messing with the FM reception. I added an amp with the ADD24 and have only used the sub so far with the stock speakers and when I disconnect the power to the amp, FM reception cleans up nicely.
The amp is a class D and seems that with google searching a lot of people have this issue with many brands.. Hmm.... (that sound is me debating the need for FM)
