Default Need help chosing a sub for C5 Z06

Right now I have the JL Stealthbox in my C5 Z06. JL put a 10W3v3-2 in a 0.6 cu ft sealed enclosure and runs it at 500 rms. It's ok but I want more bass and I could use some suggestions for selecting the best sub set-up. Here are some options that I am considering right now:

(1) 1 x RE SXX12 1000rms in 2 cu ft ported

(2) 2 x RE SRX12 600rms (each) in 1 cu ft sealed

(3) 1 x JL12W6 600rms in 1.5 cu ft ported

(4) 1 x JL13W7 1500rms in 2.4 cu ft ported

The box sizes are what the manufacturers recommend and with any of those options will require a custom box. I will worry about the amp later. Probably use the Kenwood I already have but don't mind upgrading to whatever is best. My main concern right now is getting the right sub.

I have mostly ruled out #4 because it's so much more expensive than the other options and I think it's too much for the car anyway. I like #2 because of the small size but if I spend any money on this project at all I want to make sure I get something that sounds significantly better than the setup I have now, otherwise I might as well keep what I have.

So right now I am leaning towards #1. I have read good things about RE subs and it should be a big step up from what I have now.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

IMO you need to decide on ported vs sealed first

I prefer a ported box. To me, the main benefit of a sealed box is that it can be flush with the floor but since it looks like any of the options that I am considering will require a box that rises above the floor, I might as well get the benefits of a ported box.

this one
(2) 2 x RE SRX12 600rms (each) in 1 cu ft sealed

is out if your planning on a normal sub box in the well
the box is only 23 inches wide
so you would need a custom box for sure

All of the options I listed need a custom box due to the mounting depth of the sub. But I see your point. I think 1 x 12" is better for the sound I like anyway.
