I have a 2010 Grand Sport in which I had the stock headunit replaced with a Pioneer in dash unit. I have the Bose System, and I recently added a remote bass **** for my aftermarket sub amp.
After putting my center console back together, everything works but when I close the car door, I lose sound out of the speakers and not sure if the relay I here clicking in the dash has to do with it.
I only get sound out of the deck when any door is opened. And then no sound when I close the door. Just trying to get an idea of things to check.
IIRC the issue is probably with your interface adapter. If you have the GMOS I believe you need to install a relay on the trigger wire coming out of the adapter. Search for GMOS in this section to find more threads about your issue.
Yeah I am going to pull the deck out today and see if anything is disconnected from trying to shove the bunch of wiring behind the dash reinstalling the head unit.
I do but not sure which model exactly, I have Bose and onstar though. The radio came out for me to connect my built in radar and I hooked that up to 12v switched and 12v constant of the radio harness as well using a low current relay. I highly doubt that is the issue since I get sound when the door is opened. Something must have gotten disconnected somewhere. It also only plays with the door open whether car is on accessory or running.
If neither of those work, you should get it functioning properly if you install a jumper around the GMOS. Leave everything else as is and add a wire between the 'remote amp trigger' wire of the radio and the wire on the interface harness that attaches to pin B3 of the oem plug.
It shouldnt be wired wrong as it had been working fine until I took radio out and put back in. It's probably something came disconnected but I'm just trying to figure out what to check before I had over to my garage.
There is a relay for the deck installed and it is probably for what you are talking about, ever since the one wire came disconnected from that relay and I reconnected it, I've had a problem. I tried to pull more of the wire that came off from out behind the dash as it was kinda short so I wonder if I pulled the other end out of another plug.
I'm headed over there soon so I'll post my results when I get back.
So today I go and pull the deck out to mess with this problem, I fget the deck out of the dash without disconnecting and guess what, IT WORKS FINE NOW!
Lol, I checked over some wires and saw a few things where wires may have not been snug so I recrimped them etc and no issues with it back installed.
