So I re wired my speakers, make a new double din and mounted the amps. I just need to know where to tap into constant power, 12v, remote, and ground with my Pioneer harness. And are the crossovers necessary? I'm amping the component Alpines in front and shallow mount Infinity speakers in rear. I only have 1 pair of MB quart crossovers that I never used and are ancient.. I am kind of a dummy when it comes to wiring stereo's so please help me with coloring or fuses that I need to tap into for the aftermarket HU.. Thanks!
C5 has a 3-wire pigtail in the passenger floorboard for accessory power connections. Schematic is HERE. Connect the black radio wire to ground, yellow radio wire to battery, and red radio wire to switched power.
If you're using a component set, then you should use the crossover. It probably won't sound too good if you don't.
That involves a lot of browsing and no straight answer, I looked for a while. I found the 3 wires mark, thanks! All I need now is the Illumination wire and I'm set!
Not getting any power out of the unit, connected Orange from car to Yellow on my harness and Yellow on car to Red on harness... Am I just an idiot? lol.. Radio fuse is good, do those wires connect to a fuse in car or under hood? Maybe the pigtail fuse is bad, if there is one?
