Default Adjusting thump on subs ???

I got my stereo dialed in kinda, I need some help adjusting the settings for the (2) 8" subs I have that are in enclosure behind the seats. I like the crisp sound of base thump but hate the vibration feel. How can I adjust for this?

Here is what I have:

2005 Corvette convertible

Factory equipment:

Bose Navigation system head unit.
Bose door speakers, sub, mid.
Bose dash center speaker.

After market equipment:

Diamond Audio AMP: D6 5.2
(60x5, 70x2 subs, 140x2, 280x1).
Eclipse 21010 equalizer.
AudioControl LC6 controller.
(2) Diamond Audio M3 or CM3 8" subs rear enclosure.
(2) Diamond Audio M351i 5 1/2" coaxial rear enclosure.
(2) Diamond Audio 1" tweeters dash ends.
(1) circuit breaker on firewall for After market equipment.

EQ. The "thump" is usually around 60-90hz. But it will ALL cause the "vibration feel."

If you eq down 50hz you'll get a "tighter sounding" sub.

you might also try turning down 80hz too. Or simply lowering the crossover on thesub.

But before doing anything, reverse the wiring on the subs. That alone might do it.

Or, just turn them down.

I used the AudioControl LC6 to turn them way down as they were overpowering. I had turned the EQ off. (eq off as I didn't know what to set it at). I will try the EQ back on and set the subs at 80 and see what happens. I like tighter base vs the distorted base all the younger guys like. The vibration drives me nuts. Never got into that. Just want the base to sound as it should be, not overpowering. Thanks for the reply!
