my C6 insulation project...
I just finished a project insulating my C6 coupe...
1) RAAMAT BXII as a vibration dampener on the large panels
2) pre-cut foil/foam insulation kit for thermal/sound (vettenuts)
3) pre-cut ensolite kit as a separation layer (vettenuts)
4) MLV, 1b/sqft as a sound deadener (Trademark Soundproofing)
so far, I dropped 5-10 dB, depending on road conditions... 10 dB is like cutting your noise in half... result - the wife and I can converse in a normal voice, with the radio on @75mph... but, tire noise is still a problem, depending on the road surface.. so...
next I am going to attack the wheelwells from the outside as they don't cover as well from the inside due to the odd shapes..
I'm thinking:
1) Peel & Seal as the dampener on both the wheelwell liner as well as the body skin
2) alternating layers of the MLV and Frost King Foam insulation as sound deadener...
I think that should do it !!!
We can send you out some more material if interested.
