I'd put their value, based on the way they sound, around $150. Getting a 6.5 and a 4" in the door might be tricky... but I'd go for a 2 way system anyway.
You might like Focal Polyglass. They tend to be pretty clear up top with snappy midbass. I don't know where on the west coast you are, but you might like Hertz too.
Jazz sounds amazing on Focal speakers. Though some of the Godsmack songs can get a little fatiguing. For example, the intro of Stress will blow your mind, but you'll want to turn it off by the end.
I'm not a fan of CDT. I've really only had seat time with the HD set (which I owned for a while.) They are muddy, lack detail, and distort quickly.
In Roseville, you can check out Car Audio Innovations. They have a number of high end options. Hertz and Focal notably. I think they are a Dynaudio dealer but they didn't have them on the wall.
I run Dyns in my car. Good speakers, hate the crossovers. The midrange needs tons of power but the tweeter gets nasty over 100watts or so.
This is a very popular component set for out customers.
I have the CDT Audio products and personally do not care for them.
The Focal is one of my favorite speakers to offer

Thanks Dennis,
I did not forget about you either, how do you like these over the Vibes ?
Also sent you a PM about Amps as well.
Thanks!
I will jump in on the CDT drill. I have some very old 5.25 Classics in one of my cars and the sound is simply amazing. I have yet to find anything that equals them.
I have a set of newer 6.5 HD's in the C6 and it is not quite there. It's not bad, but as Kale states they tend to distort at higher volumes(Ear bleed volume) but I find them to be very harsh, nowhere near as warm the 5.25's. People get in my car and are still amazed at the sound, but I know the difference.
