disconnecting the onstar box....
So now it seems onstar is collecting and sharing a lot more info about driving habits than one would first believe. Has anyone actually disconnected the box. If so, does the computer throw a code?
It is another reason I like my C4 and C5. However, in this instance, I am only talking about the onstar function, not the 'last 5 seconds snitch computer'. I pull the C5 to the track with my Sierra. I am really getting upset at the way gov./businesses are using services in ways for benefits/profits to others besides the user. It doesn't take too much imagination to see future abuse by certain entities.
GM changed direction to some extent but as soon as my current 'safe & sound' term is up, I am going to unplug it for good.

I'll have to search further whether that is the location for the GMC Sierra. Fuse sounds like a good idea to me, just hope it doesn't set a code. I know several folks use pickups to tow their vehicles. Was hoping someone might jump in that has had that experience with onstar.
