Default CTEK US 3300 Onboard mounts

Anyone out there ever mounted their CTEK 3300 under the hood with the 120V plug coming out of the cove vents or the grill? Does heat from engine cause any problems with the unit? Does anyone have Pics of their unit mounted in this configuration?

I want to mount the CTEK 3300 under my hood directly to the battery. I don't get to drive my Vette enough to keep the battery charged properly. It seems to get drained in about 4-6 weeks.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Anyone?

I just bought a CTEK 3300 also and am interested in mounting it under the hood. Just need some ideas as the OP.

Why mount the whole unit in the car, and not just the connections to the battery? Former forum vendor Pipedreams has a pretty cool solution using a magnetic 12v connector.
