Passenger side sub distorted
Started about a month ago, and it seems to get worse. Is there a separate amp mounted to the speaker itself? I am seeing conflicting docs I cant tell if the subs have their own amp or if they are run from the main amp. Just looking to get this running again until I can put something nice in.

Sorry its a 07 Z06 with stock radio and 2LZ package Bose speakers. In looking at the AllData wiring diagram for the speakers, it appears that the door speakers have a +12V, gnd, and amplifier enable input as well as a sub + and sub- output. This would indiacate there is a amp on the speaker itself.

You need the 10" self powered/amped bose door subwoofer. Post a WTB thread here and in the C6 parts section and you'll probably get one for the cost of shipping if you can wait it out 
Edit - make sure it's the sub. Turn the bass/trebel **** all the way in both directions and make sure it isn't the twiddler that blew.
