Boot start up image help
I have been trying to change the start up boot image on my head unit and not having any success. I have read through the official AVIC background thread and many others and finally have come here to ask for your help please. I have tried flash drive and disc, JPEG and BMP, have changed image from 32 bit to 16, changed the RGB to R5,G6,B5---basically anything I could find.
I can get the setting screen up on the unit by pressing a couple buttons and pressing the reset with a pen but when prompted to insertl a USB or disc nothing happens---I do not go to another screen with the OEM or Kenwood image button choices are.
I guess the unit is not reading the info on the USB. I cant get past the second picture. The HU is a Kenwood DDX418. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ya, I've been there and theres not much about my particular problem and model. I did not register to post. I saw someone posted a couple months there and didn't get helped with a similar problem. Thought I might try here. This is the most helpful site that I have ever seen. Thanks.
