my search produced swapping nav units, but my question is, can i swap in a factory 6 disc unit for my single cd unit as a simple plug and play? not concerned with xm or anything else, just looking to add 5 more cd's. i'm a new c6 owner [early 07 model] and am just feeling my way around this car. apparently i would have to make a trip to the dealer even if it is a simple unit swap.
do i have this right? speakers are all bose, but you may or may not have a bose head unit?
All C6 oem radios should be plug-n-play in your car, the only issue is that any newer features on the radio won't function if your car isn't wired for them, but the basic radio features should be fine. And yes, someone with a tech2 computer needs to reprogram it before the radio will work (after it's installed).

that's what i had hoped. the one thing i think i'll be missing from my c5 is the 12 disc changer. at least this way i wouldn't be stuck listening to one artist at a time.
thanks for the help.

you can also add an Ipod to your factory C6 radio as well and have a bunch more songs available to select from as well
