Where can I find the security code for the radio

Where can I find the security code for the radio
I have a 1997 bose unit, and I'm taking it out. Want to make sure I have the code first, but can't figure out where the dealer might have written it down. Any Idea?

If you bought the car new it shouldn't have a code set unless you set it. Is the red light flashing? If so you have a code set. If it get's locked you have to go to a dealership and have them unlock it.

Or you can get the serial number off the radio and call your local dealer. They should not charge you anything. If they try then call another. It is a series of buttons pushed to unlock.

Think I figured out it isn't set.... That would explain why I was never prompted to enter one when I disconnect the battery...
Put my alpine in last night with my MP3 changer... sweeeeet
