i would like to put in a sub woofer in my 82 ,but there is limited space.will this work? http://www.parts-express.com/pe/show...=email112511-3or would a regular sub woofer be better? my 2 question is how do i find the power rating of my factory radio in my 2007 lincoln mkz?reason for wanting to know the power ratings is the radio sound is great .and that would be how much of a power amp i need for the vette.
First of all, Aura is an excellent company specializing in some very innovative magnetic products, including speakers and bass shakers. This particular product is a very low end model, pun not intended.
The shakers don't really replace a subwoofer but are added to systems to provide more 'feel'.
They come in a variety of sizes and power ratings (use the mfr's. power rating to select the size of your amp) and you need to mount them to something solid.
The best place to attach one is to the seat(s), but the seat's padding will negate/absorb much of the energy, especially with such a small shaker.
IMHO you might want to consider a modest, self-contained, powered sub if you don't want to modify your car.
Don't bother trying to compare the sound in your relatively small Vette with what you hear in your big Lincoln. Apples and tangerines.
