C6 Nav Radio Removal
I need to gain access to the rear of the Audio unit, I have the Nav option single CD in a C6 2006. I need to do this to install a FM frequency extender between the aerial input and the audio units socket. This is because we have even number FM steps such as 99.2 instead of 99.1, so there is an extender that steps the frequency out by 0.1mHz. This is powered from the audio power feed, and must be powered up when the units on and not when off, (I have had some feedback from other NZ's who have had theirs installed by installers and suffered discharged batteries).
You can tap the white wire at B3 of the big plug behind the radio as your + power source. Schematics are HERE if you need them.
You'll most likely need to get adapters for the gizmo you have so it will fit in the GM antenna line. GM uses a smaller than standard plug for it's antennas. Google 'gm antenna adapter' and you should get results. You'd need two, one M-F and one F-M.
