I am removing the console and I have automatic transmission. It seems like the transmission lever is preventing me from removing the console (it is loose but does not come out because of the lever). I do not want to start the engine since the battery is out and a lot of electrical stuff is disconnected and seats are removed.
Is there any way to remove the console without putting the shift lever to Neutral? Is there a way to put the lever to Neutral without starting the engine?
You won't be able to move the shifter without power and I'm pretty sure you won't be able to get the console off without moving it. Put the battery back in and put it in accessory mode and you'll be able to move the shifter without starting it.
