Current setup for reference: 2004 z06 with single din kenwood excelon h/u, 500w Rockforf fostgate monoblock amp, jl 10w3 2 ohm sub, all stock bose front/rear speakers.

I saw this picture and was motivated to look into tweeters:

I don't know much about tweeters or what I need to add them to my system so I figured I'd ask. The ones in the picture seem to look good since they don't have massive bulges and provide some adjust-ability (like these or something http://www.amazon.com/Planet-Audio-P...7401718&sr=8-9.

Those were mine on my former C5 and worked absolutely great. They are Memphis and had the orbital cup (which was great), the beauty of that is no need to do a custom pod on the pillar ... so be sure that mount is included if that is what you want. My new Focal tweets in my C6 do not, so I will either use their standard "bullet-pod" (attached) or replace them with an orbital cup (I do not care for any of the custom pillar-pods I have seen on the Forum). Good luck ...

I believe C5 has full upper frequency going to 3.5" in doors, so it should be possible.

You'd need to add a crossover between the 3.5" and new tweets, so some kind of kit like this would be a good idea. However, there's no guarantee that the new tweets would blend in well with what's already there (you're completely at the mercy of the crossover). If you don't use a crossover the tweets would sound like crap with the full signal going to them.

As far as bang for your buck goes, best option may just be to replace oem twiddlers with 2-way 3.5" 4ohm speakers. Any $25 set from walmart would have better highs than the stock paper speakers, or contact C5 BearsFan
