Alternator Whine Question
My 2008 C6 has the stock Bose system and I have developed an intermittant alternator whine - high pitched, increases in volume along with engine RPM. Since I have made no changes to the system, and the whine is intermittant, is this just a loose connection somewhere? It is coming from the passenger door speaker.

1) Check all wiring connects from HU.
2) Check all ground connects.
3) Ground the HU case.
4) Add a ground loop isolator.
5) Add a Big-3 wiring upgrade.

The fact that it's coming from just the passenger door would make me suspect an issue with one of the electronic components in the car - possibly one of the stock amps, or the head unit - or wiring going to the door speakers. Other factors as suggested would most likely affect both sides.
