OK, I have a Vibe amp in my car (08 Coupe) which has been working great for months but I removed it to some other stuff, got everything done reinstalled the amp and now every time I hook up the power it blows the two 25 amp fuses on the amp. I have tried unhooking the main amp power lead from the + term of the battery then hooking up the amp but as soon as I hooked up the power lead at the battery the fues blew. So I un hooked the neg term from the battery and hook the amp up but again as soon as I hooked up the neg battery term the fuse's blew. Any suggestions?
My thoughts exactly I blew at least 6 sets of fuses I am just happy I did not mess up the amp or any thing else. At the amp I have a blue + wire and red - but at the battery I switched the color from the main fues back to red for the + wire to match the rest of my engine compartment. So when I checked I just looked at the battery and saw a red + so that's the way I was hooking it up. I finally checked the main fuse and that's when I noticed. Not smart I have labeled the wires and thinking about changing the power wire to blue all the way to the battery. Thanks for your help.
