Default new head unit for my C6

I am going to swap units in my c6, I want a gps unit with bluetooth and usb. I am leaning twords the kenwoods as I really like Garmin and parrot products. I see two basic types of kenwoods, the less expensive ones have some buttons on the side and the higher end ones have only the large touchscreen. It seems to me that the ones with buttons might be easier to control volume. Am I wrong?
Also there is a Sony unit that is full touchscreen with TomTom, for a decent price.
any ideas? I want to spend between 600 and 900.

The higher end units also have physical buttons for the key stuff like volume and switching between modes. They're small, but once you get used to using them, it's not too difficult to use. They're on the bottom, below the screen.

I prefer a rotary control for volume but I really like the larger screen, so it's a worthwhile tradeoff for me. I have 7xxx units in both of my cars.

Okay, I installed the dnx9960, but I am not very happy with it, so I am considering going with the pioneer AVIC-Z140BH. What didn't I like in the dnx? The switch time between menus was very very slow, the screen was very fuzzy, the volume button, you push it and it did not move, so no feedback, plus you have to hit the button over and over to raise the volume as it is one notch per click, not push and hole to raise. The Garmin navigation is nice but again, very fuzzy screen res. so it looks outdated, plus the screen is overly bright at night even dimmed to the minimum.
also I like the idea of the pioneer that I can hook up my ipod and watch netflix on the stereo!

The 9990 is just as fast as the 140 if not a little faster
Your 9960 you have to recall is also 3 years old too and the new stuff is much farther advanced

, the volume button, you push it and it did not move, so no feedback, plus you have to hit the button over and over to raise the volume as it is one notch per click, not push and hole to raise.
the 140 has same button setup as the 9960

again 3 years newer technology with the Kenwood and Pioneer for higher resolution screens

140 and 9990 instock

could you PM me with price on both, also, how do you like the pioneer, compared to the 9990? I really am leaning twords the 140, just because of th netflix capability, seems when I am waiting for my kids at karate it would be a nice feature!

I have the Pioneer Z120 and really enjoy it. Go with c5bearsfan, Dennis, he will get you best price and service. Think about a rear camera I reget not putting it in when I did the install.
Go with the PAC adapter its the best Dennis can hook you up with the right one.

The Pioneer AVIC-Z140 rocks. But if you want to spend less, consider the X940. I started with the X940, and then upgraded to the Z140. I wanted the larger screen and added features, but that might not be important to you.

with the design of the center console of the C6, anything other than a full touch screen just will not look stock as the volume know on the side would not match the ***** for the AC. also I want the feature of bieng able to watch netflix!!

Netflix should work on the X940 too, but I will trust you on the styling. I have a C5, so it is hard for me to compare.
