I have a 2008 Z06 with bose/onstar. I have switched the speakers and using a Kenwood amp with stealthbox sub. I would like to add an equalizer to allow for better sound and better control with the sub.
Audison makes some of the best currently available. The bit 1 and bit 10 both do full EQ with time alignment. The bit 10 with 6 preamp outputs will probably do the trick. The bit 1 has 8 preamp outs and costs more than twice as much.
There's really not enough info to make a good recommendation. Is your kenwood amp a multichannel, running all of the speakers, or did you just change out the door speakers, and are running the amp to the sub only? Do you want an EQ that you can adjust while driving, or just someone to tune the system? How much are you willing to spend? Do you want just bass control, or adjustment over the entire system?
There are lots of good EQs out there, depending on how you're going to use it.
Assuming that you're using the stock radio, stock amplification for the door/rear speakers, and the amp driving the subwoofer, you'll probablywantto look at one of the remote mounted boxes. There are good units from AudioControl, Audison, Rockford Fosgate, JBL, etc, ranging in price from $200 - $800. It all depends on what functionality you want, which requires more info.

If you don't know much about eqs i can vouch for the fact that the Audio Control units are excellent. I have an Audio Control EQL you can use if you're only using a single pair of RCAs from your deck to your amplifier. If you are using 2 sets of RCAs (one for your front speakers and one for you subwoofer frequencies) then i can sell you a second EQL to dedicate to the subwoofer channels too. $100 each or $200 for the pair. They are only about an inch thick so mounting should be a breeze.
I have kept the stock head unit and have a Kenwood XR-5S that amplifies new focal KR2 in front and new speakers in the back. The XR-5S also powers the stealthbox as well.
I want something that I can adjust manually while driving occasionally. A remote would be nice but not necessary because I will most likely mount behind passenger seat.
I want to be able to adjust the subwoofer easily at any time.
I have looked at the JBL MS-8 but seems like overkill. Also Alpine makes a processor as well. I want to be able to adjust sound, adjust subwoofer, and fade.
I have my Epicenter 150 mounted behind the passenger seat on an anchor board. It keeps it out of the way and hidden from prying eyes, but might be a wiring challenge.
I've used many of the older alpine 1/2 DIN processors and loved them. My favorite of which was the ERE G180 (still sold frequently on ebay) I've since moved on to the PXA H701 which I will be able to adjust through my double din monitor once installed. The H701 also has a RUX C701 display you can purchase for remote control if your head unit isn't an Alpine video screen.
IIRC the XR5S requires a separate RCA input for the sub channels, so if all you're really trying to do is have control of the sub level you could get one of THESE and put it on the sub RCA's
I have a Pioneer DEQ-7600 that I'm going to use on my setup. Haven't installed it yet, but I was impressed by the DSP on the one I heard in the past.
The hard part will be having adjustibility while driving, especially since there's no place to mount a control unit up front easily. You might look at parametric EQs like the AudioControl three.2. You could mount it behind the passenger seat, and have access to the control *****. You would have to get used to knowing which **** is which without looking, but it's a little easier with this style EQ.
You could also go with something like Audiocontol's DQS, which has a mini controller you could place up front. Much more expensive, but a great unit.
Rockford's 3Sixty.1 might be a good one to consider. It's a little noisier than the AC units, and it wouldn't provide adjustment for the high frequencies while driving, but it has a lot of control for fine tuning the system, combined with a single rotary remote for bass level adjustment.
If you're only looking for bass control, the unit that Mark mentioned would work. You would just need to split the RCA connectors going to the amp (RCA "Y" connectors splitting the front RCAs).
