Default Hertz speakers

Does anybody know anything about this brand? A lot of shops in Tampa are carrying them.

I listened to a lot of 6.5 components today, including Focal, Arc, JL and Hertz. However, I had never heard alot about Hertz and wasn't sure who made them, how long they had been around, etc.

Crazy as it sounds - and I may be going deaf - the best sound I heard from a 6" speaker was a hideously expensive pair of Focal COAXIALS, of all things. The cone is made of this Kevlar-like material and the sound blew the component speakers away.

I had always heard that components were the way to go but these Focal coaxials blew me away. Not sure what amp the store was using, either.

Any thoughts on Hertz or the Focal coaxes?

Never heard of Quest, apparently neither has google

Many companies will make comp and coax sets that are identical other than the tweets being glued to the coaxials. Some even offer dual mode sets that you can use either way. The main advantage the comp set has is the sound stage since you can separate the highs (very directional) from the mids (not so directional). If you liked the coax Focals, see if you can find the same speakers in a comp set.
