Looking for a sub and box solution for about $300
It needs to fit the rear of a C6 Vert and preferrable use one of the cubbies.
The JL solution is just too expensive for me. Really don't even want to mess with one - seems like spending the bucks on an amp and better components for the door would be better use of money.
But everyone says if I am removing the Bose, which I am, I need the sub.
Not as nice as some of the molded sub enclosures but it works for me.
In the convertible an Arc KS500 will fit behind the waterfall standing vertically on its side.
You can find them here: VetteNuts Sub Boxes
I will have our corner boxes as I am awaiting the prototype
3/4" mdf
designing them around the new slim JL 10" sub coming out in very near future
estimated retail will be 89.99 for box only
will be offering matching passenger side as well
Marks boxes at Vettenuts are very nice and will perform great. I have 2 of them in my own car currently. So you would be fine with them as well.

I am going to build a few boxes with different thicknesses of MDF, Plywood, etc. and see what I can get away with. Obviously, if I can use half-inch or so - at least for the sides and bottom - it buys me a little more volume.
The beauty of this is that it will flush mount.
Only the speaker grill will protrude above the floor of the trunk. That flange around the cubby is what is saving me. It measures about 13" or so all the way across. There will be a flange on the box that will simply rest on the flange of the cubby. If need be, I can secure it with screws but if the box is snug enough, it will just rest in the cubby.
That flange could easily handle a 10", which is what I prefer, but I think I am short on the volume.
BTW, I have one of Marc's boxes also. It sounds great.

I know I asked about the cargo box, but I really don't want to build a box or fiberglass one to fit a deeper mounting depth. I would rather support a business than build the exact same box that you have reay to ship.
