Default Is it still advised to bypass the PAC Module?

Based on a 3-4 year old thread, http://forums.corvetteforum.com/audi...r-harness.html, it was advised to bypass the 'evil' PAC OEM-1 Box.

Is this still true today? Has PAC changed any of their components in the OEM-1 box to stop the bass fall-off?

Before I cut the harness and add the RCA plugs I thought I would get a possible update.

Thanks in advance.............

If you have the box you can use it. It manipulates the signal a bit, but not that bad.

If you're just gathering parts and are capable of the work, I'd skip the box and make the DIY adapter. End result is a pure signal for a fraction of the cost.

I have the box, and am more than capable of soldering some RCA's to the harness.

I can easily cut the RCA's from the one harness and add them to the other, but if the OEM-1 won't screw-up the sound I might just as well use it. The post from 4 years ago had me second-guessing the value of the OEM-1 module.

Thanks
