Being the new guy in here, you're learning about my issues with the 2012 Version of the NAV disc.
The darn thing just locks up my NAV system and the system is useless with it. I try to get it to compute a route and it folds it's tent like an Arab in the night!
So, the question...
If the 2012 and newer are going to have the same 1 disc formatting on the DVD and that formatting won't work with my system what choice do I have for updated NAV information? It looks to me that 2011 will be my last update that I can run in my NAV (I'm assuming a ton of crap here as I've yet to get my hands on the 2011 to test it to see if it does indeed work in my 2007 (2006 genre) unit.
I'm sitting with my finger on the button for the Pioneer AVIC-Z140BH unit and want to be sure I'm looking at this problem correctly. If the 2012 won't work in my NAV, then the 2013 is pretty much a dead issue too. Having a NAV in the car that I can't update, well, in a word, sucks the big one.
Give me one ray of hope to retain the 2007 NAV system with updates and my finger won't cost me $1500.
If you need help installing it come on up (I'll give you directions )
I just went through your state yesterday! I went home the scenic route as I75 had the road disappear on the Southbound side just south of Jelico and we saw a 6 mile backup when we were traveling north so we went over to Charleston and took I77 south to Columbia and then to I95. We hit all kinds of states going that way!
With your directions, I'd probably end up in Nome!
