Default C6 Vert XM antenna question

I want to put a sirius/xm portable receiver w/docking station in my 12 GS Vert. I have the full Nav/xm system from the factory but want to have one subscribtion and carry it from car-car-home. I got hold of a set of wiring diagrams that show the digital antennas are in BOTH the left and right hand mirrors and go to an "antenna module" part of the radio. I want to use the car's digital antenna because their is no place to mount the one that came with the docking station. Has anyone done this? Can I use just one of the antenna's and get a decent signal?
Any help would be appreciated.

C6 prints are HERE

The oem XM module w/antenna connections is above the left rear wheel hump, pics HERE (only in NON-VERT)

If you need the antenna connection in the dash you can use a standard antenna extension cord. Use the yellow plug if the new receiver only has one antenna port.

You can splice into the oem XM audio wires to listen to the new unit if you don't want to use an FM modulator, details HERE

EDIT: In a vert the XM module is under the waterfall, everything else is the same.

Thanks for your reply. The new schematics show 2 XM antennas. The audio/Nav system on the 12's is different from previous years. One XM antenna in each mirror. My question was will using only one of these for the new module work or do you really need both antennas. As it is, the XM reception is not that good. My Silverado is much better.

The old schematics show two antenna also, nothing changed in '12.

At the XM module one antenna plug is green and the other yellow. If your new receiver can take two, use them both, if it only has one port then use the yellow plug antenna. Yellow plug is 'normal' antenna, green is the 'repeater' signal in big cities.
