Accessory Power Gone?
1) No more accesory power. Bummer. :nonod:
2) Auto-dimmer function on the deck does not work automatically when headlights come on. Deck's setting is right. :nonod:
3) There is a loud whine coming through the speakers which gets higher frequency as I press on the throttle. When I originally asked them if a power filter would need to be installed with the system, they said the modern equipment doesn't need those anymore. Well, my ears say different. :nono:
If any of the C5-electronics wizzards here are bored and feeling generous with your advice, I'll pass it along to the guys at the shop when it goes in. Maybe it will keep them from thrashing around trying to figure it out.
Alpine CDA-7894 CD/MP3 Receiver
Rockford Fosgate Power 550X Amplifier
Boston Acoustics 6.5 ProSeries Components (doors - driven by amp)
Alpine S-Series 6.5 Coaxial 2-Way (rear - driven by head)
Kicker CompVR 10" (rear, flush mount, sealed box - driven by amp)
Thanks!

2) Didn't use this function, however I believe  That there is a wire from the metra harness that works.
3) Check amplifier gain controls aren't all the way up/or close to. Also make sure rca's off the radio are not running in parallel, but at 90 degree's with any power wires.
I'm no expert, but these are all I can recommend
Sorry my spelling sucks

The C5 uses Pulse Width Modulation to dim the bulbs in the dash. Your new HU may not like this signal to be fed into it's dimmer input, but you can try. Connect to the bulbs in the AC/heat controller. The dimmer signals come from the BCM.
