Default BCM reverse trigger for camera

What wire on the BCM is the Reverse lead? I can't see running a wire all the way back to the taillights when the BCM has a reverse signal. I can't find squat on the component views in helms to identify the lead.

I just wired the car, put it together and now the camera won't come on in reverse. $hit!

If you dont want to go to the rear of the car

Reverse signal wire is in the large wire bundle in the fuse panel going to the rectangular brick connector. Peel back the electrical tape and splice into the light green wire.

OK, I'll rip it apart again tomorrow. I'm looking for a purple wire that is folded in the bunch of wires with the big wiring harness you supplied. Run that purple wire to the light green in the large bundle down by the BCN in the passenger foot well.

Right?

Purple/white 6" wire located. Spliced in 4' of wire to the light green wire in the BCM wire loom. Camera NOW comes on in reverse. I am getting pretty good now at getting access to the radio HU.

Thanks for the information everyone.

eboogs,
I'm thinking of installing a camera also. Can you post pics or a few words about the project?

I'll answer any question you have. This was my first entry under the console. I was occupied with the task at hand. I did not take any pictures and had a 36" fan blowing on me to keep from melting down in my garage.

I know about the Camera and reverse lead now. My camera wire goes into my trunk area and I routed it under the carpet and door sill area. All of my power or battery leads were established in the foot well fuse box.

Questions, just ask.

Elmer,
What kind of camera did you use and where/how did you mount it?

The camera I used is the Pioneer ND-BC5 $200. I mounted it on the rear diffuser.
