How to remove a wart
I have an 05 vette coupe and I would like to remove to XM radio antenna cover(aka the wart) and replace it with a shark fin cover.
So my question is how does that cover(the wart) come off and can the cover be replaced with a shark fin cover?

WOW I am sure you and I can't be the only people that has thought about this. Has anyone removed the XM antenna from your 05 coupe?
Good luck Sunnyd with finding this one out

I've never tried it, but just from seeing how everything else on the car is attached I'd be willing to be that the cover just pops off if you pry or push it in the right spot.

I pretty sure that it's just held in place by some sort of 3M tape or adhesive. I would bet that you could use some dental floss or fishing line to 'saw' through the tape and it will probably come right off.
Then you could replace it with an antenna more to your liking or even better, hide the antenna somewhere in the car. I have heard of some people placing the antenna back inside the rear bumper attached to the back wall.

You will have to fill in the hole in the halo when the antenna is removed or replace the entire halo which is what a lot of the '05 owners have done.
I love my wart and it helps me find it in a sea of Corvettes.
