I'm getting my bezel back from double d mods this week for my c5 and want to tuck the ipod wire underneath it, so it looks cleaner. I also want to hide my iPod/iphone so no one see it whenever I leave my car, but at the same time have full access to disconnect it easily. I'm thinking either the armrest area or where the cigarette lighter is. Has anyone done this? Where are you putting your iPod?
A lot of people have removed the arm rest lighter plug and run the cable through there or made a small channel/hole to route it through.
I keep mine in the glove box. I never use my iPod while driving and don't have an iPhone so this makes sense to me and keeps it out of the way. Also, the cord (Kenwood system) is long enough that I can still use it if I absolutely have to. It's also handy so any passenger I have can plug theirs in and the cable isn't restrictive (i.e. only 6 inches of cable when trying to use it by hand... PITA). Also, you can close the glove box on the cable without any damage to the cable or glove box, just don't leave it like that.

I cut a hole in the center console and ran the cable in there, you can leave the iPod/iPhone in there and it is out of sight and easy to disconnect if desired.
